Moore Offers New Clues About Battlestar Galactica
Source: Cinema Blend
If you’re like me, one of the things you’ve been looking forward to most about 2008 is the premiere of the fourth season of Battlestar Galactica. It feels like its been forever since we got any new information about the series. Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we finally have a few exciting tidbits to mull over for the next few months. If you don’t want to know any spoilers about the upcoming season of BSG, read no further!
In this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly, the magazine included this picture spread across two pages. BSG exec-producer Ron Moore was nice enough to offer a little clue about each of the people listed in the photo. The juiciest clue was for #10. As you can see in the photo, there is an empty space there. Moore brought up the fact that they haven’t revealed the final Cylon yet. EW’s Adam V. Vary responded by asking, “Does that mean the people already at the table aren’t the final Cylon?” To this, Moore said, “You ferreted that out pretty slyly. I didn’t really want to give that away.” That means that we can deduce that Starbuck, Lee, Baltar, Roslin, Adama and Helo are not going to be revealed as the fifth Cylon.
In case you noticed the extra Six in the photo (#2), that’s Natalie. According to Moore, she’s another version of Six who will play a role in the new season as a Cylon who is leading other Cylons with a separate agenda from the rest of the toasters. Moore also made mention of Caprica-Six’s center spot, saying, “Baltar’s Six has proclaimed that she is delivering the gospel of the [Cylons] one true god, so it seemed natural to place her at the center of the photo.”
You’ll also note that Helo and Sharon are giving someone to the right of them the stink-eye. Moore wouldn’t say who it was they were looking at but he did say that “the person they’re looking at is definitely reacting.” As for Starbuck and Anders, Moore pointed out that while Kara's return to life and Anders' finding out he’s a Cylon definitely complicates their relationship, it should be noted that Anders is the only one embracing Kara. So does this mean that he’s the only one who trusts her or is happy to have her back? It would explain why it looks like she’s been tossed in a cell in this trailer for the new season.
